While some skeptics and other crazy people continue to say that there will be no solar storm in 2012, and that NASA downplays the event, and that it is all "theories", etc.
The truth is: the theme is true and NASA is in fact concerned about the situation.
NASA intends to observe the sun closely with the SOHO and STEREO satellites and in the event of a Solar Coronal Mass Ejection, the satellites would send information to NASA, which would try to anticipate the storm, turning off the transformers of the electrical grids (causing a temporary blackout), so that the electrical grids would not be affected when the solar radiation reaches the Planet.

Verdadeiramente ocorreu a tempestade solar. Foi no ínicio de 2012, nos 2 primeiros meses. Não me lembro qual, mas me lembro que fui abrir meu e-mail e lá estava a notícia no yahoo.
